Complete Our Unique SEO Internship Programme
Complete AWM Network's SEO training programme and finish with an AWM Network diploma certificate. The programme has been developed over five years and consists of a combination of blackboard teaching, interactive learning, and practical completion of a range of SEO-related tasks.

The internship is full-time, and we have two upcoming internship periods:
Spring 2020: January - May
Autumn 2020: August - December
Working hours are generally 37 hours per week. This is an unpaid internship.
The first two weeks of the internship are an introduction period, where you will learn about SEO in-depth, as well as the tasks you will be working on during the course of your internship.
You will also receive a thorough introduction to AWM Network, our products, and our key competencies. As one of our SEO & Communications interns, you will help drive our organic performance efforts on our sites in the respective markets. We are currently most active in the following markets, with the following sites:
Research will be an important part of the job, and you will work independently, as well as in teams, with many responsibilities and thorough training. Our standards are high and we will challenge you creatively in terms of communication.

Before my internship at AWM Network, I had only heard of Search Engine Optimisation by name. After a very intense two-week long introduction, I felt I had already a pretty good idea about what it is and how it can be done. Then, by the end of the 5-month internship, I felt very comfortable with SEO and capable of working with it independently.
I began my internship in August 2016, right after my study exchange in Denmark, and felt that the internship would go well together with my education in Business Information Technology. The tasks during the internship were very varied and I got to work with not only SEO but also briefly with online marketing through creating graphics. I learned useful skills that complement both aspects of my education, business and marketing, and IT.
I felt that the internship was challenging and everyone was pushing us to perform at our best in a very encouraging and supporting way. The company itself is very welcoming, and it treats the interns as colleagues and we got to start working with actual tasks on the websites from week one. I learned so much and not only about SEO, but also about working in an international environment and working independently with different kinds of challengings projects.
At the end of my internship, I was lucky enough to be offered a position as an SEO executive, where I was heavily involved in launching an economy comparison site in the Finnish market. Since then I have been promoted to SEO & Visual Content Manager, where I lead a visual & video team dedicated to creating content for our lead sites, unifying the look of our pages, and helping to enforce our brand identities on social media and YouTube. I am also still managing the content for the Finnish economy site, and helping coordinate the Finnish interns.

I started my journey at AWM Network as a Communications and SEO intern, back in August 2016. It was an intense and exciting 4 months of my career. The internship at AWM Network is far different from a regular one. Here, the interns are given many responsibilities and freedom to choose their tasks, which was a huge motivating factor for me. I couldn’t ask for a better start to my career in Denmark.
The company spends a lot of time, resources, and efforts in training the interns and providing value for the internship period. I remember my first day as an intern, when I did not know much about SEO or digital marketing. But, over the months I gained knowledge and experience from all the classroom training and practical tasks that were given to me. During my internship I worked with B2B lead generation sites and did a lot of on-site and off-site SEO, amongst other online marketing tasks.
Another thing that impressed me is the diverse culture of the company. I get to learn from, and work with people from different countries and varied skills. Multiculturalism is one of the most interest things about AWM Network. Today, I’m working full time as the Digital PR Manager and I am thoroughly excited to put my sills to the best use here. With good colleagues and challenging tasks, every day at work is fun.

Being a Communications and SEO Intern at AWM Network helped me combine my interests, my theoretical knowledge from university, and at the same time gain practical knowledge essential for my future career. In retrospect, I can truly say that it was a good decision.
The internship has the strength of combining intensive learning at a high pace, while at the same time offering a great working environment with personal development and help from coordinators. As an intern I was highly integrated in the team - just as any other employee - and that made me even more motivated.
I got to learn by doing, which to me is the best way of learning something new. Having the possibility to work with my tasks and manage to come up with new ideas to help the company grow was one of the most interesting things during this internship. I developed my analytical skills as well as writing SEO content on a high level.
Today I work with the Swedish market as an Organic Performance Executive together with two other colleagues. As an employee in this department I mostly work with SEO-content, both on-site and off-site. Additionally, I also work with our social media and help coordinate Swedish interns. Working at AWM Network is great, with a diverse job in a forward-thinking environment where I can really develop myself. I do think it is especially good to have the competences the internship brought me, when working in the Swedish market, since our knowledge at the company let us be at the cutting edge of SEO and online marketing in Sweden.

The question I get asked the most is: “Sue, why would you take up an internship so far from your home country when you have already built up credible experience in the media and marketing environment?” The answer comes down to the end view: my career objective has always been to have a rewarding career in the global marketplace where I can enhance my varied skill set, compete with the best and at the same time constantly develop new competencies and add value to my world.
My internship at AWM Network offered me this opportunity, and much more. I can best summarise my experience in the following three pillars:(1) It broadened my horizons in the international marketing field, and more specifically, digital marketing. (2) I experienced an innovative and creative work ethic where you are just as good as your last idea, and therefore you constantly have to challenge yourself to be at your optimal best, and (3) I had the pleasure of being a part of a vibrant office culture that is fun, welcoming, and diverse.
And so, whilst many ways the calm and eco-friendly lifestyle of Copenhagen seems worlds apart from the hustle and bustle of Johannesburg, South Africa - finding my place at AWM Network was made easy by the awesome group of people I have the privilege of calling my colleagues. Working on our UK business as a Key Account Manager with great trajectories ahead, the journey for me has only just begun. Needless to say, although far away from home, I am glad that I took up the internship. Equally, anyone who considers themselves to be a team player, who is driven, and thrives on the ability to find solutions to problems will find great value in an internship at AWM Network.
